Giant World Cup Party!

Feel the need to watch the World Cup surrounded by thousands of people? Too claustrophobic for your traditional soccer pubs? No problem!  Puma has graciously created Puma City NY on the banks of the East River.

The upshot - you'll be among tons of tourists, but it's a very pleasant scene. A soccer pitch (that's a field for you gridiron folks) is set up and you can sign up to play pick up games. They also have a human foosball game set up - not sure what that means except you're probably strapped to a pole somehow. Great Facebook photo opp!

The Beer Garden sounds like the best place to hang out - beer, more seats than at a pub, and a jumbotron showing the sweat coming out of every grainy pore of your favorite side (again, for you gridironers, a side means a team). Get there early if you want to watch the USA play their games - it's sure to get crowded.

When: From now through July 11, hours vary
Where: South Street Seaport (Fulton Street at the East River)
